Emmett and Co started in late August 2018.

Our story began whilst on maternity leave with my son. Adoring motherhood and not wanting to miss these precious years with him I decided I wanted to find something that I could do from home. It was coming up to Emmett’s first birthday and we wanted to throw him a ‘Wild One’ birthday party as it matched his personality to a tee. I’ve always loved the raw wood look and I began to search for party décor that matched the theme, my search came to a halt when the prices I was looking at well surpassed the budget. We made do with some golden foil balloons and I began the journey (cringe!) to find a way to work with wood and make products that were reasonably priced for families. I knew one of the first products I wanted to make was a ‘Wild One’ hoop and sure enough months and months of learning and trialling I did, I love being able to share it with families having the same theme for their own children.

The name ‘Emmett and Co’ was of course inspired by my own Emmett, the reason this business all started, but I needed the ‘and Co’ too because I knew there would be more babies down the track and more reasons why this business means so much to this mama and her family.
